Why Online Nikah is Allowed?
Thanks to Pakistan’s marriage laws and the Hanafi School of Islamic jurisprudence, a Nikah can be performed through a representative (Vakeel). A bride or groom who cannot attend in person may authorize a lawyer to represent them during the ceremony.
In some Middle Eastern countries like UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman, and Iraq, a Wali is required for women, but Pakistani laws and Hanafi fiqh do not require a Wali for adult women. Therefore, Online Nikah through Pakistani legal framework is fully valid.
Pakistani Online Nikah Nama also contains a special clause enabling couples to appoint a lawyer/representative on their behalf.

Requirements of Online Nikah in Islam
Online Nikah is valid if the following Islamic conditions are fulfilled:

Bride and Groom must be 18 years or older

Mutual consent of both parties

Presence of two male Muslim witnesses

Agreed Meher (Dower Amount)

Offer and acceptance (Ijab-o-Qubool)
